for Trotwood, OH
I completed a diagnostic and found Fan control is bad and furnace draft hood is falling off the unit as well as belt drive blower door falling off in closet with draft furnace. I informed the costumer this is not safe at all especially with the amount of dust and debris in water heater vent can cause incomplete combustion, high CO situation is likely and a CO detector is needed.
I performed a diagnostic service call on a 12 year old gas furnace. The tstat is an old mercury and the tenant stated the system would blow cold air and went to turn it up, the tstat system ignited began heating. tested the flame sensor then cleaned it out and replaced it.
Upon arrival I completed a Half Install of a Amana 80% Gas Furnace AMES80/ACES80 (Up to 100,000 BTU) Price includes removal of old equipment, complete install of new furnace and thermostat (including necessary venting, electrical gas connections, duct adjustments) and tax.
Upon arrival I completed diagnostics and Installed the universal hot rod ignitor due to water damage. Another company deemed system bad though it is 4 years old with no notable issues other than the ignitor, based on water marks from flood which was resolved by Dry Patrol. The only warranty is on the ignitor repair @ 1yr labor 5yr parts with this particular item. The system is operational upon departure. Goodman
Performed a tune-up and safety check up for a 2020 EF/HP unit. Arrived to perform end of year tune up. While performing tune up the fan on heat pump was extremely load. Spoke with service manager Greg in Columbus who advised to order warranty replacement at no cost to customer. All other aspects checked out to be good and operate properly.
Upon arrival the customer advised that furnace would run but was not heating the home. I cycled the furnace on, would light then go out a few moments later. Flame sensor reading .1-.4uA. Pulled and cleaned flame sensor. After replacing sensor read 2.2uA. Cycled furnace again and allowed to run approximately 15 minutes with no further issues. I also found the filter extremely dirty and restrictive. I pulled the filter, and the customer stated that they would go pick up a new filter tonight. At time of departure furnace operational.
